KAYAK TOURS FAQ'S:

1. Should I wear a swim suit?

Clothing is optional...j/k. It is your choice. You probaly won't get wet on the trip unless you decide to swim, or your family splashes you.

2. Can I bring my digital camera?

We recommend leaving your digital camera at home, because there's no guarantee that it will stay dry. Our guides have special dry bags for our camera. The guide will take some pictures of you and offer a contementory photo for free, unless you would like a CD of your trip for $10.

3. Can I bring items that I want to stay dry?

Absolutely, all of our kayaks have two watertight bulkheads where extra gear can be stored.

4. Do I need to wear shoes in the boat?

Its your choice. Theres a lot of room in the cockpit of the kayak if you wear shoes and decide to take them off later.

5. How young is too young?

Children as young as eight years old can easily paddle their own kayak through the entire half day trip and have a blast. Children as young as four can paddle with a parent in our tandem. Sorry, but children under four may not participate in our kayak tours.

6. What will we see on the river?

You will see lots of wildlife and very few people. Our adventures explore the beautiful canyons, caves, caverns, towering cliffs, the secluded coves, and the lush branching waterways of the" Dells Glades." Come see for yourself!

General FAQ's

1. When do we pay for our trip?

We require your payment in full in order to reserve your date. We can take your credit card information over the phone.

2. If I decide to cancel my trip, can I get my money back?

We're sorry but A 50% refund is what you will get back due to reserving the guides and date for your trip. If we cancel your trip due to inclement weather, we'll give you a Vertical Illusions gift card for the full amount. The card can be used in our retail store or for a trip at a later date. Gift cards never expire.

3. Where are you located?

There is a map on our store page. We are located just off Stand Rock Road next to the River Bridge in the Dells.

4. Are the adventures fun?

We offer what Disney World can't. "Real Adventure." Our trips are geared for familys and are fun for all skill levels. Kayaking and Rock Climbing are two of the fastest growing sports in the world, for good reason.

5. What is an appropriate tip for our guide?

If you had a great adventure, please thank your guide. Gratuities are much appreciated; they customarily range from 10-20% of the trip cost.
