Zip down 15 consecutive tree to tree lines dropping over 500 feet from the highest castellated mound in the world.  Take in views from over 120 miles away!

This incredible experience will forever change your idea of what a tour should be. You will travel almost a mile on 15 consecutive tree to tree zip lines at heights of 100 feet above the canyon floor at speeds pushing 50 mph.

Start out by meeting your guides and getting fit for your guided tour at Vertical Illusions. Next shuttle to Chimney Rock Park and start hiking up to the summit.  One of the most beautiful hikes in the Midwest (about a half hour hike to the top).

Begin the zip line at the Chimney Rock Castle high on the summit with views beyond 120 miles.  Then descend through the saddle of the Quaking Aspen Grove and over Friendship Lake Canyon.  You will pause at several eco-stations high up in the trees before continuing on your journey. At each station in the tree, your adventure guides will present you with some of the unique and interesting aspects of Chimney Rock Park, its wildlife, history, and the areas you are passing through.

After this then zip line down to Sunset Cliff, around Mid-Day Cliffs and through the Pine Forest on your zip line journey lasting approximately 1.5-2 hours while making memories that will last a lifetime.  The entire tour from gear up to getting your free picture CD from your guides will take approximately 3.5 hours.

Restrictions:  250lb weight limit/ No age minimum

If a child can comprehend the zip line they can ride it.  If they can't they can go tandem with a guide.

How Do I Prepare For My Adventure?

Now that you have booked your tour you will want to wear comfortable clothes appropriate for the weather and hiking shoes. We would ask that you leave your camera behind. Our professional guides will take pictures and give you a complimentary CD of them.

When you book your tour we do require a 20% non-refundable deposit and full payment at the beginning of your adventure. If your trip is cancelled due to weather we can rebook or give you a VI gift card in the amount of the deposit.

As Vertical Illusions Guides we make it our personal responsibility to offer a world class experience for you and your group. If you are 100% satisfied and love your adventure we appreciate gratuities of 10 to 20% if we have earned it. We look forward to taking an adventure with you!
